The exhibition is devoted to one of the greatest protagonists of the international contemporary art.
Miquel Barceló, versatile artist able to join different art languages, is mainly well known to the public for his gestural pictorial research. During the 1990s, he started to approach ceramics showing a primitive poetic, emotionally powerful.
His career is not characterized only by ceramic sculpture; actually, the artist finds in the great architectural spaces his uniqueness. Here he creates great wall installations and carries on performative events, where the clay becomes a key element for a poetical, original vision.
The event in Faenza is the first anthological exhibition devoted to the artist’ ceramic production, from his debut to nowadays, in a constant dialogue with the MIC masterpieces.
